Technoparks

In 2003, Kazakhstan started to build an infrastructure which is going to support and implement domestic innovation research and create a basement for transferring prospective foreign technologies.

The main bases of the innovation infrastructure — techno-parks — represent service and production bases for creation and implementation of innovation projects and offer a variety of specialized services to innovators. Techno-parks possess of a few enterprises with advanced technologies which perform orders in creation and implementation of new design researches, production of advanced equipment and devices. Techno-parks themselves do not participate in financing of the innovation projects.

 The innovation infrastructure development is operated by a branch enterprise of the NIF — «Center of engineering and transfer of technologies«JSC .
